Sebastiaan Bax (1994) is a multidisciplinary creator, composer, and pianist. In January 2019 he graduated from Musician 3.0 at the Utrecht's Conservatory in the Netherlands. He composes and produces music for film and theatre, but creates free work as well embracing the same aesthetics.
Most of his music can be described as textures of sound, rooted in modern jazz and minimal music. Nuanced, and often personal and emotional. By what he calls his 'natural gravitation towards rich but simple harmonies' his style is elegantly unpredictable, yet comfortable to listen to. Working as strongly on its own as it does in collaborations with other art forms.
Additionally he regularly creates more playful music, videos and performances. Exploring ongoing inspirations like hip hop grooves, synthesizers, found sound, found footage, and using utilitarian objects as musical instruments.
